This feature is currently in beta, some bugs are to be expected, however the feature will generally work. Please use the #signups-beta channel on Discord to report issues or provide feedback.
Sign Ups are an extension of Tabtastic’s AutoReg system, which allows Tabtastic to also manage people initially signing up as institutions, IAs or teams. It will also handle emailing spot confirmations as well as AutoReg links.
Sign Ups currently provides no additional options beyond enabling or disabling them. There is the potential to add customisable descriptions in the future.
Currently emails are only sent to teams that have been granted, and granted teams cannot then be rejected. The reject button purely serves as an organisational tool for tracking which applications you have rejected within Tabtastic. Rejecting sign ups prevents the person from signing up again, while deleting sign ups will allow the person to sign up again.
To complement these features, in the future you will be able to disable adjudicator and team creation using the open link, to enforce IAs and open teams using the sign up method instead, while still allowing institutional links to function, however this is not yet implemented.
Most types cannot request more than one spot, so this option is only available for institution sign ups. Using the number box, you can allocate an institution less spots than they requested, which will be communicated to them in the confirmation email. If you do not specify a number of spots, all spots requested will be granted. The number of spots granted is respected when granting multiple sign ups at a time using the selection boxes. The number of spots granted can be edited later either in the Participant Manager under Institutions, or on the AutoReg page.
