Tabtastic has an inbuilt system for releasing motions and info slides, and running a prep timer. It automatically releases the motion and will set the round start time on the tab as well. The prep timer is set for the British Parliamentary format by default, but can be set to any length using the Prep Time Length option in the Tournament Manager. You can also disable it overall by setting the length to 0, or for a single round using the --noPrep
flag. Formats with multiple motions are also supported, and will be released together.
You can release the motions (and info slides if any exist) for the current rounds by using the /release <hh:mm>
command (e.g. /release 09:15
), where the time is the time you want the motion to be released at. Tabtastic will calculate when to begin the 60 second countdown in order to release the motion at the time specified, or if the time is the current time or in the past, it will begin the countdown immediately. If there is an info slide for any of the current rounds, Tabtastic will also run a 60 second for the info slide before the motion is announced. Any round where the draw is released but the round is not completed is deemed a current round for Tabtastic, which provides an easy way to control what motions are released. Tabtastic will also tell you what motions it will release and ask for confirmation before beginning any countdown. If multiple rounds share the same motion, Tabtastic will combine them in the announcement to make it clearer.
