AutoReg

Tabtastic includes an integrated pre-registration system called AutoReg, which is designed to replace the old method of a Google Form then importing into tab with one single system. When a participant fills out AutoReg, they are automatically added to your tab, your Discord server and linked to Tabtastic.

Tabtastic AutoReg collects participant’s name, roles, institutions, team (if relevant) and speaker status (if relevant). It also has built in anti-duplication features, to avoid duplicate registrations and teams. All registrations are also added to the Participant Manager, which makes it easy for them to be edited in case of error. AutoReg also sends people email confirmations when they’ve registered with a copy of their information.

Enabling AutoReg

AutoReg is disabled by default when your tournament is created to avoid people registering before you are ready. This setting can be changed in the AutoReg tab of the Tournament Manager. This can also be useful for limiting AutoReg to a certain window, by disabling it before you want AutoReg to be open and after you want AutoReg to close.

Speaker Status

Speaker categories will be imported into Tabtastic when you run the /update command in Discord. These can then be managed in the Tab section of the Tournament Manager. Tabtastic also adds a description to speaker categories which you can edit and which will be displayed in AutoReg to participants, allowing you to explain the criteria of a given category. You can also manage a speaker’s status in the Participant Manager.

Institutional AutoReg

Tabtastic now supports separate AutoReg links for each institution. These links are generated automatically when institutions are added to Tabtastic and require no additional setup. You can also set limits on how many teams each institution can register in the AutoReg tab, as well as automatically send AutoReg links to institutions by setting a contact email and clicking Send Link. You can also download all the institutions and their links as a CSV file. You can enable or disable institutional slot limiting at the top of the AutoReg tab.
