Tournaments are rarely run by a single person (or at least they definitely shouldn’t be, that’s a recipe for some bad vibes), and so Tabtastic supports multiple different Admin roles you can assign to users based on their role in the tournament. Admins can be added under the Admins tab of the Participant Manager, which will send them a confirmation email to accept the admin role. Admins can only be modified by the owner of a tournament. Admin roles currently only affect operations on the Tabtastic website, but will soon extend to Discord slash commands.
Tab takes the place of the old admin role in Tabtastic, giving a user almost complete access to the tournament, with the exception of deleting the tournament and managing tournament admins. They can edit tournament settings, Discord settings and tab settings, and manage participants, Sign Ups and AutoReg. They can also trigger updates and draws.
AdjCore replaces the implicit permissions granted to participants who were marked as CAs in Tabtastic, giving a user access to participant and sign up details but preventing them from changing settings. They can manage judges to mark them as IAs or set judge scores, and they can approve or deny judge Sign Ups, but are unable to manage other types of participants or Sign Ups.
Currently, Equity is a read-only role. It can view all of the participant data and Sign Ups, except for judge scores. In the future, we plan to incorporate a clash system that is only available to equity, allowing them to directly manage a tournament’s clash.
Convenors can edit the tournament details and upgrade the Tabtastic plan, but cannot change other settings. Convenors can view all participant data, except for judge scores, but cannot manage participants. Convenors can manage institutional and team Sign Ups, but cannot manage judge Sign Ups
